General Electric is a global company heavily invested in all major sectors that are contributing to building Africa's infrastructure and development. GE businesses include oil and gas, power and water, transportation, aviation, capital and healthcare. It has over 1,800 employees working across the African continent in 35 countries.
In order to show how GE is a partner in building Africa's sustainable future, GE Africa developed a corporate citizenship program called Kujenga, which means 'to build' in Swahili.
It builds on a sustainability strategy that has three pillars: EMPOWER people with valuable skills, EQUIP communities with new tools and technologies, and ELEVATE ideas that can help solve Africa's challenges.
The goal of the CSR communication campaign was to demonstrate the impact of GE's sustainability program and show how it reflects the company's business activities in Africa in the areas of healthcare, power, transport and innovation.
I was commissioned to produce visual communication material for the campaign to show how GE is committed to building a thriving and prosperous Africa by making a difference and creating value for societies while supporting its business strategy.
